Q. Is getting to your pontoon location easy?
A. Yes, we are located in beautiful Cornelius, North Carolina, Just a couple of miles West of Highway 77 Off West Cawtaba
Ave. Our Pickup and Drop-off is located at BLYTHE LANDING PARK
Q. What day is the best day of the week to get on Lake Norman?
A. Any any of the week is always great to visit Lake Norman, but to avoid lots of the crowd and action on the lake,
we suggest Monday - Friday. Our rates are also less expensive Monday - Thursday.
Q. Do you take everyone that books online?
A. NO, all online bookings are reviewed for approval, AS YOU MUST MEET RENTAL REQUIREMENTS. Renter/Helmsman must
not only have boating experience but must be at least 30 years of age, also it is the law if born after 1988, helmsman must
have a boating safety certification. Failure to do so, and if stopped by Lake Norman Law Enforcement a $350 fine may be
issued.
Q. Do you allow tubing, skiing, or towing from the pontoon?
A. Unfortunately, tubing or towing from our Sun Tracker pontoons are prohibited. Our pontoons are setup for casual
enjoyment on the water, and are not for active water sports such as skiing, tubing, etc. Towing/tubing greatly increases
the chances of someone getting hurt on Lake Norman and we want everyone to be as safe as possible while renting our
pontoons. We however do provide water noodles at no additional charge.
Q. Do I need a credit card to book a reservation, and is a Security Deposit required?
A. A credit card is needed to book online, however we do not process payment until you are within 3 days of your reservation.
NO Security Deposit is required. We do however save your payment information on A SECURE file in case there are
missing items and or damages to the pontoon incurred by renter.
Q. Are your prices competitive?
A. ABSOLUTELY, In fact we have ONE price per rental, WITH no hidden fees.
We include amenities like GAS, A COOLER OF ICE, BOTTLED WATER, SNACKS, and WATER NOODLES.
Q. Are you open 7 days a week?
A. Yes, we are open 7 days a week 365 days a year
Q. Is your pontoons new and easy to drive?
A. Yes, we have new Sun Tracker Party Barges, and yes, they are easy to drive like a car, but we do require that the driver
have good boating experience.
Q. How old do you have to be to rent our boats?
A. All Renters and Helmsman have to be 30 years old with good boating experience and must have a valid automobile drivers
license.
Q. Does the pontoon go fast? the boats go fast?
A. Our 60,75 and 90 HP Sun Tracker goes approximately 18 - 26 MPR and is designed to cruise Lake Norman.
It's a fun cruise party barge with safety in mind.
Q. What is the capacity of the pontoons?
A. Our pontoon capacity are 8 TOTAL people and or 1250 LBS.
Q. Do you provide life jackets?
A. Yes, we always have 9 life jackets onboard at all times and smaller vests for minors Youths and infants.
All vests are stowed under the seats for your convenience.
Q. Is there music on the boat?
A. Yes, we have an excellent USER FRIENDLY radio and bluetooth system. You’re also welcomed to bring your own portable
bluetooth speaker if you desire.
Q. What time should I show up to my reservation?
A. We recommend getting to Blythe Landing Park @ least 15 minutes before YOUR RESERVATION.
Q. What can I bring with me?
A. You are welcome to bring any food or beverage. Do keep in mind we do provide a cooler, ice water and snacks.
Q. Are pets allowed?
A. Small pets are allowed, (under 30 lbs) $20 per pet is additional- 2 max
ALL APPROVED PETS MUST HAVE LIFE JACKETS.
Q. Can we fish from the boat?
A. Yes, Lake Norman has great fishing, with plenty of species such as:
Catfish, Bluegill, Channel, Catfish, Crappie, Black Bullhead, Flathead Catfish, Largemouth Bass, Sauger,
Smallmouth Bass, Spotted Bass, Striped Bass. ANYONE FISHING MUST OBTAIN A NC FISHING LICENSE.
Q. Can we swim into the water?
A. Yes, Lake Norman is a beautiful lake and does offer swimming and many other water activities.
We are not responsible for any persons in the water, and the pontoon engine MUST be off when people are swimming
nearby. No jumping off the seats, and it may be slippery and dangerous.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
A. As a rental company, last minute cancellations are very costly. At the same time, we understand that things come up and
we don’t feel it is fair for you to lose your entire rental fee if you have to reschedule.
- IF the client cancels the paid reservation within 3 calendar days of the trip date, owner agrees to a refund of
100% of the total paid reservation. - If the Client cancels the paid reservation within 2 calendar days of the trip date, owner agrees to a refund of
50% of the total paid reservation. -
If the Client cancels the paid reservation same day of the trip date, there will be no refund of the total
paid reservation price,
Q. What's the cancellation policy for bad weather?
A. Our Cancellation policy is simple and strict but fair. We DO NOT allow cancellations for less than ideal weather.

Someone's idea of perfect weather may not be the same for someone else. If the weather is (bad due to high winds,
lightning, heavy rain, storms in the area), or unsafe conditions, we can postpone your reservation for another date and time. - A 3 hour notice is required but ONLY if weather is bad and severe at the time of the booked time slot
